  • Choose the approximate date for the Wedding. Decide on the venue, book in and get to know the Venue’s Wedding Organiser. (they will become your best friend!)

  • Think of the type of ceremony you would like, find a celebrant and book them.

  • Check & Apply for the HSE Marriage Registration Form (MRF). You must give a minimum of 3 months notice to the Registrar.

  • Think about Musicians and the type of music you would like.

  • Book your Photographer and decide if you want a video as well. Think about the shots to be taken during the ceremony.

  • Meet the Wedding Celebrant & let them advise you on the different ceremonies, length of the ceremony, Music & Readings. Again, get to know your Celebrant as they will guide you through the ceremony and help you relax on the day.

  • Check the venue supplies items such as Table for Ceremony, Flowers and Sound system.

  • Choose your Readers and Readings, let the readers know what they are reading & they have a copy in advance.

  • Should you have time and availability, have a rehearsal. This will reassure the ceremony will be just right for you.

  • Prior to the wedding ensure you have the Green Book this is vital for the legal part of the Ceremony. On the day of the wedding this must be give to the Celebrant/Solemniser prior to the ceremony. This document also needs to be returned to the Registrar within 4 weeks of the wedding.

  • On the day of the Wedding relax and enjoy the day you will be in safe hands!
